Why Should Graduates or PhD Candidates Studying in the UK Feel Happy After 1st July 2021?
Are you an Indian student who has graduated from the UK either through distance education or by physically visiting the UK?
Are you worried about getting a work permit in the UK after your studies?
Are you worried about the impact on your work profile post Brexit?
If yes, then I have a solution to your problem.
Hi! I am Rishi Mehta, the CEO of Edge International. With more than 12 years of experience in this field, I feel proud to say that we are the BEST UK STUDENT VISA CONSULTANT in Vadodara. Stay with me till the end, I will share why it is a bit on the flip side for graduates and better for PhD candidates.
I have seen many students like you aspire for abroad for further studies.
But sometimes there are financial constraints and at times a lack of knowledge. I have seen students like you wasting time and money visiting various consultants in anticipation that at least someone would guide them the correct way.
But they can’t find anyone… Yup! NOT EVEN A SINGLE PERSON WHO KNEW ALL FORMALITIES IN DEEP!:(
Seriously!!!!!
I am not exaggerating guys! All they end up getting is just false promises. I can understand that you cannot trust someone blindly and give him all your father’s hard-earned money. (Especially if you are not working, and depending on your father’s income.) I can see you people nodding your heads.
That is why this idea of becoming a visa consultant struck me. That too particularly student visas. So that you people don’t have to suffer, the way you do – due to lack of proper information. This is the reason, I was motivated to start a top-class student visa consultancy of my own.
Today I visit many foreign countries, and I sincerely wish that you people out there can fulfil your dreams. That’s the reason why I am writing to you today.
As a piece of personal advice to you (treat it as a piece of insider information) the countries that will be having many job prospects in the coming years are the UK and Canada. My first choice is the UK and I will explain to you why it is my first choice. That’s the reason why I am guiding you about a UK student visa. I am working as a UK student visa consultant for a long time now!
To be eligible to work in Canada, you need a work permit after completing your studies. Whereas as per the latest updates from the UK government you get a work permit soon after your graduation or PhD.
Saving a lot of formalities for getting the work permit after studies saves a lot of time, although you do need to pay a small fee.
I thought of sharing these guidelines with you for two reasons.
Firstly, there might be many students amongst you who took the admissions to study abroad for a 1-year course but could not go there due to the pandemic. As a result, you were forced to adapt to distance education.
While others might have visited the UK but the course is not yet completed.
Secondly, some of you might be sponsored for a course lasting more than 12 months.
In any case, there is a piece of good news for you all.
Guys, I know how super excited you feel after completing the course and getting the job offer instantaneously. Believe me, the tide is now in our favor! Here is a quick look at the rules.
For Students who have not entered the UK for a 12-month course
Conditions:
- You began 12 months or less in 2020 or 2021
- It was distance learning mode
Will have a chance to visit the UK if they reach the UK before:
- Their visa ends or
- By 27th September 2021,
Whichever is earlier.
For students who have already travelled to the UK for a 12-month course
Conditions:
- Students must have begun 12 months in 2020 or 2021
- They have already travelled to the UK
Can apply for permission to work as long as they are in the UK.
Students who have opted for a course longer than 12 month
Whether you did distance learning or went to the UK, you are eligible to work if you were sponsored for a course between 24th January 2020 till 27th September 2021.
Now here’s a piece of bad news for the graduates : (as compared to the PhD candidates)
From 1st July 2021 international students who have completed undergraduate or master’s degrees will be able to get the benefit of a two-year’s work permit after completing graduation.
Whereas, the students who have completed their PhD will be able to stay for three years.
As far as the documentation formalities are concerned, the Graduate Route will require a new visa application that can be done residing in the UK itself.
This should be accompanied by the visa fee of 700 pounds and the Immigration Health Surcharge at the full rate of 624 pounds per year.
Similarly, you will need to produce the CAS – Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies from the University. To request CAS you need to fill Confirmation of Acceptance form for studies and email this to the University Compliance team at visacompliance@westminster.ac.uk to request your CAS. CAS requests are usually processed in 1 week.
You can download the form for the request for Confirmation of Acceptance for studies here.
That’s all from me guys. It felt nice sharing my views with you. Do let me know if you have any doubts and feel free to get in touch with me.
I don’t want you people to suffer like me for the want of ‘correct/authentic information’🙂
Wishing you all the best in all your future endeavors.
Cheers!
Rishi Mehta
